iOS 5.0.1 Can Be Jailbroken Using iOS 5 Exploit

A few days back, Chronic Dev Team member an iOS hacker Pod2g revealed a new untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 5. He tested it on a third generation iPod Touch running the 5.0 iOS software, but was not sure if it would be able to jailbreak the latest iOS 5.0.1 as well.

But, as it turns out, the new exploit is effective for iOS 5.0.1. The hacker tested the exploit on his iPhone 4 with the final iOS version and posted a happy tweet to share the news with the world. This means that you can now feel free update your Apple devices supporting the A4 System-on-Chip design to the latest firmware.

This seems like good information for those who accidentally upgraded their iDevices to iOS 5.0.1 and lost their unlock, with no possibility to go back to iOS 5.0.

It is worth noting, however, that the solution that Pod2g developed confirmed to be effective only for iPhones, and iPads equipped with an A4 processor like the first-gen iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and Apple TV. iPhone owners who rely on the Ultrasn0w unlock still should be cautious with upgrading to retain the unlockable baseband.

It is unknown yet whether the exploit will work on Apple’s devices with a dual-core A5 chip like the iPad 2 or the latest iPhone 4S.

At the moment, iOS 5 can be tethered jailbroken using Redsn0w, Ac1dSn0w or Sn0wbreeze. If you want a semi-thered jailbreak on iOS 5, you should install the SemiTether patch from Cydia.

And those of you who are running iOS 5.0.1 can use Redsn0w or Ac1dSn0w to get a tethered jailbreak.

Nifty Way of Unlocking iPhone 4S without Modifications in Software or Hardware

Unfortunately, as most of you have experienced firsthand, unlocking a brand new iPhone is not an easy task. A few years back, when the iPhone just came out, software unlocking was much simpler and there was no need to ask the carrier to unlock the iPhone or use the GEVEY card with the dubious legal status.

But it seems that the situation with the freshest Apple smartphone, the iPhone 4S, is different. An unknown hacker released a method that allegedly allows for unlocking Apple's latest device without any modifications in software or hardware. Unfortunately, this miraculous unlocking procedure is effective only for ATT devices.

Now, you should beware that we haven't tested this method yet and you will be acting on your own responsibility. But if you are interested, you should keep reading.Step 1: Place your ATT SIM card into your iPhone 4S, it I's not there already.Step 2: Dial 611 (ATT Customer Service) and drop the call. After that, put your iPhone into Airplane Mode. Step 3: Insert the T-Mobile SIM instead of the ATT one.Step 4: 'Forget' all wireless networks with automatic connection.Step 5: Go out of Airplane mode.Step 6: If everything has gone well and EDGE network has activated, as it should, you will see "E" at the top-left corner of your iPhone's touchscreen.Step 7: Switch your iPhone 4S off after 20-30 seconds and then turn it back on. Step 8: When you see a signal bar, press Use Cellular Connection.Step 9: Take out your SIM and turn your iPhone on. You should see the "Activation Required" screen.

Step 10. Insert your T-Mobile SIM once again, and your iPhone 4S should be unlocked.

It is highly probable that AtT will close this loophole soon but until it does that, you could give this method a try.

Jailbreak Solution for iOS 5.0.1 Already Released

As you probably know by now, iOS 5.0.1 was launched six days ago. The new beta version does not have any new features but fixes performance bugs and is available to developers so far. Supposedly, iOS 5.0.1 no longer has the battery drain problem, fixes the bug that caused the iPad 2 Smart Cover security flaw and features additional security enhancements.

So if you are a developer and would like to jailbreak your newly updated iPhone with iOS 5.0.1, you will probably be glad to know that a jailbreak solution was released a day after the iOS 5.0.1 launch. The iPhone Dev-Team was the first to present Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 that works its magic on the new firmware version and jailbreaks your iOS device.

Hacker iH8sn0w, the person behind the popular Sn0wbreeze jailbreak tool, followed with a jailbreak solution a day later. Besides jailbreaking the iPhone, Sn0wbreeze 2.8b9 also fixes the iBooks sandbox crashing problem allows for re-flashing the iPad baseband on the iPhone 3GS.

Unfortunately, both solutions are limited to a tethered jailbreak so you will have to plug you iDevice into a computer each time you power it off to be able to use it again.

Luckily, there a partial fix for this issue – a Cydia tweak called SemiTether which allows for rebooting your iOS 5.0.1 tethered iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device into a semi-usable state. And though you can get full usability only after connecting to a computer, it is still a nice feature.

Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 Enables iOS 5 Jailbreak and Fixes Previous Issues

The relentless hard work of the iPhone Dev-Team has brought some pretty good results. The hackers have developed a new version of Redsn0w that not only allows for jailbreaking iOS 5 and fixes a Location Services issue for the iPhone 3GS with baseband 06.15.00 in the process.

The launch of Redsn0w 0.9.9 came a few days after the release of Redsn0w 0.9.9b5 for iPhone users with the Mac operating system and was the first solution for the new iOS.

You might wonder, why iPhone Dev-Team decided to launch a new version, given that a tethered jailbreak has already been covered. If you have already jailbroken your iPhone, you don't need to bother with re-jailbreaking your iPhone. But if you haven't yet, you might find Redsn0w 0.9.9 more useful than the previous version because it fixes the Location Services bug that might cause a network crash for the iPhone 3GS with baseband 06.15.00.

As sad as it is, a tethered solution only is available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch so far. It means that every time you reboot your device, you will have to connect it to your computer and re-jailbreak once again. What's even sadder, the program does not support the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2.

It remains unknown when an untethered jailbreak will be released but, according to the previous report based on i0n1c’ Twitter messages and Chronic Dev-Team's statements at the recent jailbreak convention, it will come pretty soon.

Untethered Jailbreak Solution for iOS 5 Already in Progress

With the launch of iOS 5 scheduled for this week, what iPhone users all over the world are wondering whether an untethered jailbreak for iOS will appear and, if it does, when and how.

Sure, Redsn0w and Sn0wbreeze have already prepared a tethered jailbreak for the newest Apple iOS version, but it is not nearly as desirable as an untethered jailbreak which lets you reboot your iPhone without having to re-jailbreak it every time.

German security researcher Stefan Esser, better known as i0n1c, hinted at the near possibility of an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 in a message on his Twitter account, saying that it has been already 'covered by other people'. And knowing about his close relationship with the Chronic Dev Team, one can almost surely say that, by 'other people', he means them.

It is easy to believe, given that Chronic Dev Team hacker Joshua Hill (or P0sixninja) claimed that his group had located five exploits in Apple's fresh iOS at last month's 'MyGreatFest', the largest jailbreak convention for hackers, developers and coders. Plus, this team already has a great achievement under its belt – it has been responsible for the only untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 4.2.1.

And though we know that exploits are not always accompanied by untethered jailbreak solutions, coming from the man who found the exploit for an untethered solution for iOS 4.3.1, this tweet is a very good sign. We will know whether Stefan’s words are true in a few weeks.

iPhone 5 to be Presented by Tim Cook on October 4

According to Apple, the next-gen iPhone will be unveiled by new Apple CEO Tim Cook on October 4. According to some rumors, the new iPhone will become available a few weeks after the launch

We will hardly know the details until the company presents its new device, but, so far, there are three versions of how the next-generation iPhone will look. Some say that Apple is going to release a low-cost version of the iPhone 4 for people who are not eager to shell out big bucks for a pricy smartphone while others believe that the company will launch the iPhone 4S, an improved version for the iPhone 4 that would supposedly have a dual-core A5 chip like the one used in iPad 2. There is also an opinion that Apple will release a top-notch device with a new design, more random access memory (RAM), the A5 chip, longer battery life and a camera with more megapixels.

The long-awaited event that will be held in eight days is especially important for Apple and the company’s new executive director, Tim Cook. The new CEO is expected to deliver a key note with Apple’s senior vice presidents Scott Forstall and Phil Schiller. It will probably be the first time since the launch of the iPhone when Steve Jobs will not be on the stage to present the new device.

iOS 5 is probably going to be released together with the new smartphone. It would be a nice if an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 would become available right after the release, but we will probably have to settle for a tethered iOS 5 jailbreak at the early stages.

Change Font Size up or Down on iPhone Using Jailbreak Tweak

For those of you who have problems with eyesight, the iPhone offers a way to zoom the text with a small font size. Sure, you can zoom in the text by performing the reverse pinch - spread your thumb and forefinger apart after placing them together, but doing it every time to read the text is not exactly convenient.

What if you were able to go one or a few sizes up without any fuss as you can do in text editing programs And while Apple does not provide this feature yet, some smart developers have already thought of this and created a jailbreak tweak that allows for doing just that. After installing this application with the name 'Magnifier for Safari', just press 'Share' and then 'Adjust FontSize' in Safari to get access to a slider that will allow you to increase or decrease the font size.

This application will sure make your life easier, with no sliding and unpinching. Certainly, you will have to jailbreak your iPhone first to increase the text seize on Safari pages if you have not done it already.

We wonder how Safari will improve when new iOS 5 comes out. This web surfing client has been very reliable in the past but an improvement would not hurt as some features that other browsers have would definitely make it better. It does not seem likely that it would acquire a feature that does something like this application but we just have to see what the iPhone 5 with iOS 5 will bring.

For now, it is known that Safari will have a new feature, Safari Reader, that will be able to present just the text of a page without any featured images or other elements. The iOS 5 browser will also have a Reading List that will include webpages that you would like to read later. Safari will also acquire tabs in iOS 5, which will be quite a useful improvement.

Teen Hacker Gets Job at Apple

19-year-old hacker Nicholas Allegra who is probably better known to the Internet world as Comex has landed an internship at Apple, according to his words. The youngster who was instrumental in developing a jailbreaking program for the iPhone announced that he will be working for the iPhone makers as an intern via Twitter.

Last year, Nicholas developed a program that allowed for downloading applications not authorized by the company that has employed him - Apple. But, apparently, after some time, the hacker got tired of his creation and decided to find something new – work for the company whose product he helped to hack.

However, the teenager still does not think that he did anything bad. According to him, a jailbreak simply allows to run applications and features that are not approved by Apple. It does not make the iPhone operate slower or make the battery discharge faster. Plus, a jailbreak can be undone if you restore your iPhone.

And the government seems to agree with Mr. Nicholas. Last year, jailbreaking was allowed by legislation, becoming the last in the string of exemptions from the 1998 U.S. law that bans bypassing technical limitations imposed by companies to prevent people from unauthorized use of their products.

Apple did not give any comment on whether Nicholas has been hired or not which proves that Allegra has indeed been employed by the company.

Apple Fixes Security Vulnerability in iOS 4.3.5, But Jailbreak Still Possible

Ten days after releasing iOS 4.3.4., Apple launched iOS 4.3.5 to fix a security vulnerability related to certificate validation. The previous version was short of perfect – it allowed malicious hackers to use the security vulnerability to eavesdrop on secure communications. iPhone owners who used public WiFi were especially vulnerable.

The 4.3.4 version also had a security hole allowing hackers to corrupt the iPhone and control it remotely through malicious PDF files, though Apple developed a patch for this problem before releasing iOS 4.3.5.

So if you have the iPhone 3GS, GSM iPhone 4, iPad or 3rd or 4th gen iPod Touch, you can probably update your iOS version to tighten your security. Apple also released an enhanced mobile operating system for the CDMA iPhone, iOS 4.2.10. You can download the update via iTunes by clicking on Check for Update, as always.

Launching this new mobile operating system, Apple also hoped to fix the vulnerability in iOS that allows jailbreaking. However, the company’s hopes never materialized as there already is a jailbreaking solution for this version though it comes with a few strings attached.

Only a tethered jailbreak is possible, which means that you need to connect the device to a computer and jailbreak it each time you reboot it. There is no sense in developing an untethered jailbreak for firmware that will go out of date in a month or two. Developers are now investing all their mental resources in working on a jailbreaking solution for iOS 5 that will be launched this fall.

Apple Selling Unlocked iPhone 4

Rumors about the unlocked iPhone 4 going on sale proved to be true. As reported, Apple GSM iPhone 4s became available in Apple stores and online. But you should think very hard before rushing to Apple stores to buy the brand-new phone.

The 16 GB model of the unlocked iPhone 4 is available for $649 while the 32 GB model is $100 more expensive. In the meantime, the same versions of the locked iPhone 4 are available for $199 and $299.

It is not the only downside of the new unlocked iPhone 4. If you plan on using T-Mobile's GSM and GPRS network, it will be impossible. This carrier uses a faster 3G network that is incompatible with the iPhone. This means that you will have to settle for the EDGE network that is much slower.

Apparently, Apple’s promises that the brand-new unlocked iPhone 4 will be compatible with GSM carriers are not entirely true. ATT will remain the only option unless you use the phone abroad with international mobile network operators. Verizon is also out of picture since it supports only CDMA.

Another drawback is that the unlocked iPhone will be incompatible with iPad’s micro-SIM card. But what’s probably most confusing about the new Apple product is that the iPhone 5 will be reportedly launched in September. And shelling out at least $649 ten weeks before a new model is released does not seem very wise.

It turns out that the new unlocked iPhone 4 is a good choice only for those who often go abroad and want to use international carriers instead of paying exorbitant roaming fees.

Apple Rumored to Release SIM-Less iPhone 4S in Late Summer and Totally Upgraded iPhone 5 in Spring 2012

A Japanese site reports that that Apple is going to release a new iPhone model, the iPhone 4S, sometime late summer (between July and August).

The new phone will supposedly not be very distinct from the current iPhone. According to these rumors, the new model will be compatible both with GSM and CDMA for ATT and Verizon carriers. Right now, Apple is producing different models of the iPhone for GSM and CDMA.

The most shocking rumor about the upcoming model is that the Mac maker is considering the possibility of getting rid of the SIM card. Everybody knows that Apple is always looking for ways to revolutionize the world, combine as many components as possible into small devices and remove parts the company can manage without. Apparently, Apple has been considering the possibility of getting rid of the SIM card and replacing it with an e-SIM. However, according to the reports, the company abandoned this idea for now due to some security breaches that it might cause. But everything is possible with the company that was the first to drop the practice of including built-in floppy drives in its computers.

The number of rumors about the iPhone to come has significantly increased lately which might be a sign that it will be launched soon. A week ago, a picture of a supposed back plate of the upcoming iPhone was revealed. It looked exactly as the one on the current iPhone but its camera hole was in another place. One of the reasons for this change can be that Apple decided to opt for a camera with 8 megapixels instead of the current 5-megapixel camera.

The new model will also supposedly go through a hardware upgrade. It is unknown yet whether its chip will be single or dual core. But with the latest Android phones having a dual-core chip, Apple will have to keep up in order not to be left behind in the competition unless they want to push the price down.

Besides the iPhone 4S, Apple is rumored to release an iPhone 5 next spring which is quite an uncommon date for an iPhone launch. There have not been many reports about this model yet.

Newest Release By Apple - iOS 4.3.1 For iPhone, iPad And iPod Touch

Newest firmware version - iOS 4.3.1 - has just been released by Apple for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch a few days after the already legendary iPad 2 hit the market.

As per the notes for this release, iOS 4.3.1 fixes several minor bugs and has some improvements for the pervious iOS versions. Here you can see the major improvements carried by iOS 4.3.1:- Eliminates graphics glitch on iPod touch (4th generation)- Removes image twinkle when using Apple Digital AV Adapter with certain TVs- Fixes bugs at activating and connecting to some cellular networks

- Resolves authentication problems with some enterprise web services

This new iOS will work on GSM iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4th generation, iPod Touch 3rd generation, iPad and iPad 2. Sad news for Verizon iPhone users, iOS 4.3.1 is not compatible with this iPhone. Who knows however, maybe there's something coming soon for Verizon too

Rumors say, that Apple released 4.3.1 firmware to exclude the iPad 2 jailbreak possibility and improve battery life. Some iPhone users have noticed considerable decrease in battery life after they upgraded to 4.3 firmware released in the beginning of March. Earlier this week, Apple released Apple TV Software Update 4.2.1 (iOS 4.3.1) for Apple TV 2G to remove screen flickering.

Beware, those who have jailbroken and unlocked their iPhone should NOT upgrade to iOS 4.3.1 until the updated jailbreaking and unlocking tools for iOS 4.3.1 are released.

If you don't need jailbreak or unlock for your iPhone, you may easily update your iPhone with iOS 4.3.1 via iTunes right away.

Jailbreak iPhone Safe

It still sounds risky to many iPhone users, however there is a safe jailbreak solution for iphones on the market.

Why do this First off, you do want those awesome features and an access to free software! Besides, after jailbreak your iPhone will become more valuable not only for you, but for anyone who will wish to buy it from you in future!

Why there's a need to jailbreak - that's a question for Apple corporation. They have way too many strict rules and limitations! Lots of exciting applications are just not accessible in AppStore. Do you want Apple to decide what you should and should not do with the iPhone you paid for No Then go ahead and jailbreak!

Your iPhone can still use the AppStore and iTunes after a jailbreak and it will perform its normal functions, such as making telephone calls, messaging, etc. What's most important, you will gain access through installers such as Cydia to lots of various fascinating applications, useful extensions and beautiful, stylish themes - those you can't get in AppStore.

And what's more, a jailbroken iPhone can then be unlocked. Unlocking allows you to use any sim card based service provider you want.

How to jailbreak iPhone Out of all the sources offering such service online you need to choose on that is safe, efficient and reasonably priced. While making a research for my own iPhone 4 I decided to give a try to a website called Az-Unlock.Com. After I placed my order, I was given an access to all their software, where I quickly found the one I needed. Need to say that they supply you with step-by-step instructions that are extremely easy to understand and to follow, which was a nice surprise. So, I proceeded, and... it worked! Easy and fast, as it had to be.

I'm sure there are many other good solutions on the web, but based on my personal experience I recommend the one that I used. Ladies and gentlemen, why limit yourselves to Appstore Jailbreak your iPhone now and enjoy it with all its possible features and facilities!

BlackRa1n is Now Available

Waiting time is over! The long-awaited BlackRa1n jailbreak by GeoHot is now available for download.

So, what is blackra1n blackra1n is a 30 second ALL device 3.1.2 jailbreak. Even the ipt3, but the ipt3 is tethered. In order to boot it, just rerun blackra1n. As far as donations go, they are much appreciated, but not until after blackra1n works for you. I never ask for donations before the tool is released.

Warning 3g and 3gs unlockers, do not upgrade to 3.1.2 using iTunes if you want to keep your unlock. Baseband cannot be downgraded. Check out the dev team’s offerings. Also blackra1n doesn’t hacktivate.

There are a few important things to note about BlackRa1n:

  • BlackRa1n can jailbreak OS 3.1 and 3.1.2
  • BlackRa1n is for Windows only so far. If you’re using Windows 7 , run BlackRa1n as an admin with “Windows XP Compatibility” mode by enabling it from the “Properties” tab
  • BlackRa1n does not hacktivate your iPhone, which means you must be using an official carrier
  • BlackRa1n does not unlock the iPhone
  • iPhone 3G and 3GS users should not upgrade to 3.1.2 if they want to keep their unlock. You will have to wait for an updated version of PwnageTool if you want to unlock the latest OS.
  • the iPod Touch 3G is supported but it is a tethered jailbreak which means you’ll have to use BlackRa1n everytime you want to boot your iTouch

This is the RC1 of BlackRa1n and it is still a little buggy so be careful.

I think it’s worth highlighting again that if you want to keep your unlock, you should NOT update to 3.1.2. Simply wait for the Dev Team to update PwnageTool.

You can download BlackRa1n from the website or from our downloads section. I will be writing wrote a BlackRa1n tutorial. Check it out for more information on how to use BlackRa1n: BlackRa1n jailbreak guide tutorial.

Q A For iPhoneSimFree Users and 1.1.1 iPhone Update

Seems there is a bit of confusion about our last post. Here are someof the most common questions, with some corresponding answers.

Q. Why do you say it is unlocked if you can't activate a non ATT sim
A. There is a difference between unlocking and activation. Unlocking isrelated to GSM standards and allowing a sim to be used on differentcarriers, and activation is something made up by apple to furtherrestrict their users. After upgrading to 1.1.1 the radio of the phoneis still unlocked, meaning it can still connect to other carriers, butapple requires the phone be activated to do so.

Q. How do you know it is unlocked if you can't activate
A. There are several ways to know this. Firstly, the phone does notreport "Incorrect SIM". Secondly the IMEI is correct. Thirdly if youbring up the field test, you can see the provider is not ATT. Andfinally (and coolest of all), there are ways to actually call out andreceive calls from the emergency call screen. If you can get thebaseband to crash (we do it by calling some emergency numbers with nosim in place) and then insert the non ATT sim, it can pick up asignal and calls (non-emergency) can be placed and received from theemergency call screen on the non ATT carrier.

Q. Why does all this matter, if I can't yet use a non ATT sim
A. A few reasons. Firstly the phone can still be used by ATT usersafter upgrade. Secondly, if apple has patched the methods used toperform the unlock, as long as an activation method is discovered, thephone will work perfectly on other carriers. With other unlockingsolutions, if you were to upgrade the phone it would currently be abrick, and if apple has patched the methods to perform the unlock, itwould also stay a brick forever..

News concerning iPhone 1.1.1 Update

We have successfully completed a test of the 1.1.1 firmware update onIPSF unlocked phones. We are very pleased to report that the phones arestill fully unlocked, and if you are using an original activatedATT sim, you can activate and use the phone with no issues at all.Unfortunately, currently there is no way to jailbreak/reactivate thephone for use with a sim card other than the original ATT card. Therefore for our customers who have no immediate need to use alternateproviders and are still using their ATT card, you are welcome toupdate your phone. For the rest please be patient, as the jailbreakissue is something that affects much more than just the unlocking. Thethousands of open source developers who have put a cumulative 10s ofthousands of man hours into various apps and tools now have no way toget them onto the phone as well. We are all looking into the jailbreakissue as it affects us all, and we will keep updating our site as wellas the open source community at large with any information we can aboutthis. We also tested an AnySim unlocked phone, and after the update itappeared to be relocked. The IMEI was reported as 004999010640000 (seebelow), and a T-Mobile sim was reported by the phone as an "IncorrectSIM" rather than the new "Different SIM Detected" message.

The 004999010640000 issue (Resellers please take note):

004999010640000 is a special IMEI number reported back by a phone in "lockdown"mode. We have seen this a few times mostly in relation to otherunlocking methods. We are currently updating our servers to accommodatenew customers wishing to recover their phones from lockdown mode, butit is essential that the REAL IMEI of the phone is passed on to ourservers, or else the server will not issue the unlock. The real IMEIcan be found engraved on the back of the phone or on the back of itsretail box. We will update our site when the Servers have been updatedto fix lockdown phones.

Обзор браузера Safari -

Apple makes it easy to synchronize bookmarks between the Safari browser on a Mac and the Safari browser on iOS, but you don’t have to use Safari — or a Mac — to sync your bookmarks back and forth.

You can do this with any browser. Whether you’re using Chrome, Firefox, or even Internet Explorer, there’s a way to sync your browser bookmarks so you can access your same bookmarks on your iPad.

Safari on a Mac

Apple’s iCloud service is the officially supported way to sync data with your iPad or iPhone. It’s included on Macs, but Apple also offers similar iCloud bookmark syncing features for Windows.

On a Mac, this should be enabled by default. To check whether it’s enabled, you can launch the System Preferences panel on your Mac, open the iCloud preferences panel, and ensure the Safari option is checked.

RELATED: Safari for Windows is (Probably) Dead: How to Migrate to Another Browser

If you’re using Safari on Windows — well, you shouldn’t be. Apple is no longer updating Safari for Windows. iCloud allows you to synchronize bookmarks between other browsers on your Windows system and Safari on your iOS device, so Safari isn’t necessary.

Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome via iCloud

To get started, download Apple’s iCloud Control Panel application for Windows and install it. Launch the iCloud Control Panel and log in with the same iCloud account (Apple ID) you use on your iPad or iPhone.

You’ll be able to enable Bookmark syncing with Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome. Click the Options button to select the browser you want to synchronize bookmarks with. (Note that bookmarks are called “favorites” in Internet Explorer.)

You’ll be able to access your synced bookmarks in the Safari browser on your iPad or iPhone, and they’ll sync back and forth automatically over the Internet.

Google Chrome Sync

Google Chrome also has its own built-in sync feature and Google provides an official Chrome app for iPad and iPhone. If you’re a Chrome user, you can set up Chrome Sync on your desktop version of Chrome — you should already have this enabled if you have logged into your Chrome browser.

You can check if this Chrome Sync is enabled by opening Chrome’s settings screen and seeing whether you’re signed in. Click the Advanced sync settings button and ensure bookmark syncing is enabled.

Once you have Chrome Sync set up, you can install the Chrome app from the App Store and sign in with the same Google account. Your bookmarks, as well as other data like your open browser tabs, will automatically sync.

This can be a better solution because the Chrome browser is available for so many platforms and you gain the ability to synchronize other browser data, such as your open browser tabs, between your devices. Unfortunately, the Chrome browser is slower than Apple’s own Safari browser on iPad and iPhone because of the way Apple limits third-party browsers, so using it involves a trade-off.

Manual Bookmark Sync in iTunes

iTunes also allows you to sync bookmarks between your computer and your iPad or iPhone. It does this the old-fashioned way, by initiating a manual sync when your device is plugged in via USB. To access this option, connect your device to your computer, select the device in iTunes, and click the Info tab.

RELATED: How to Never Use iTunes With Your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch

This is the more outdated way of synchronizing your bookmarks. This feature may be useful if you want to create a one-time copy of your bookmarks from your PC, but it’s nowhere near ideal for regular syncing. You don’t have to use this feature, just as you really don’t have to use iTunes anymore. In fact, this option is unavailable if you’ve set up iCloud syncing in iTunes.

After you set up bookmark syncing via iCloud or Chrome Sync, bookmarks will sync immediately after you save, remove, or edit them Всё для Танки Онлайн
